		<description><![CDATA[<p>Many could not understand the concept, how could a driver who brought on a photo finish at the Daytona 500, seemed destined to finally the &quot;Cup,&quot; just walk away.&nbsp; He was on fire, how could he?</p><p>&nbsp;But Mark Martin knew what he wanted and stuck to that plan, racing only 26 times - period!&nbsp; It is that determination that frustrated fans and earned him respect at the same time.&nbsp; It would have been easy for anyone who began a season so well to have a change of heart and go for it anyway, but standing by his decision he let his skeptics have their say.&nbsp; He was happy to be at home with his family and help with his son&#39;s racing career. </p><p>As the 2008 season begins, Martin will share the #8 car with rookie Aric Almirola, he is looking forward to the season, a schedule similar to last year - racing when he wants to and enjoying the best of both worlds.</p><p><a href="http://www.nascarracingfan.com/thescribe/weblog/198/understanding-the-somewhat-complex.html">Continue reading "Understanding the Somewhat Complex Mark Martin"</a></p>]]></description>
